About Backyard Brewery

Backyard Brewery is a nano brewery and taproom on Micro Place in Escondido, California. Its website says every beer is brewed on a one-barrel system and sold only at the brewery. Owner Bill Carter shaped the recipes over more than 20 years of small batch brewing in his own backyard.

The list centers on IPAs, a light and a dark Belgian ale, a blonde and an oatmeal stout, with eight beers on tap. Its website says J's Carolina, a spiced English ale made with Carolina Reapers, won a gold medal at the San Diego International Beer Competition. Hard seltzer and non-alcoholic seltzer are also available.

On Fridays and Saturdays, food trucks join in. The website describes a relaxed place where you can bring your dog and kick back with friends. Google lists a wheelchair accessible entrance, parking lot and seating.

Its website says Bill will likely sit down with you over a pint and talk about his beers. A Mug Club is offered, and merch is sold at the brewery.
