Brewery Draconum is a brewpub with a big beer garden on Main Street in Old Town Newhall, Santa Clarita. A brother and sister own and run it, and it has been open since November 2017. More people have reviewed Draconum on Google than any other brewery, taproom or beer shop in Santa Clarita on this site.
There are 20 taps, most of them house beers, and two are set aside for gluten free options. Owner and brewer Ben's signature beers include Ale of the Golden Dream, Saison Draconum, ABVaf and the Ebon Drake Baltic Porter. Draconum is Latin for "of dragons".
The scratch kitchen uses local produce, house ground meats and bread from a local bakery. Many dishes are cooked with the house beers. The seasonal menu has burgers, tacos, vegetarian dishes, gluten free bread and a kids menu.
The beer garden has misters for hot days and heaters for cold nights. It holds about 70 seated and 100 standing for private events.
